In a strategic move set to reshape Yemen's solar energy market, the leading global PV provider Trina Solar has announced a landmark 5-year partnership agreement with Al-Raebi for Trading Co., its official distributor in Yemen.
The agreement secures the supply of 500MW of advanced solar modules to the Yemeni market, targeting the growing energy needs of the residential, commercial, and industrial sectors.
As part of the deal, Trina Solar will deliver 100MW of its cutting-edge N-type i-TOPCon modules (Vertex N series) within 2023 alone. These modules, featuring 210mm technology, reach outputs of up to 695W and an efficiency of 22.4%, representing the next generation of solar technology.
Mr. Abdullah Al-Raebi, General Manager of Al-Raebi Co., stated: "Solar energy has become a cornerstone in Yemen, with over 70% of homes and the agricultural sector relying on it. We are proud to lead the market by introducing Trina Solar's latest Vertex N technology to meet current and future demand."
Antonio Gimenez, MD & VP for the Middle East at Trina Solar, emphasized that this new 500MW deal builds on the "huge success" of their previous 40MW partnership, underscoring the high value Al-Raebi provides and the market's trust in their solutions.
