Reinforcing its leadership role in advancing renewable energy quality in Yemen, Al-Raebi Company, a leader in solar systems trade and installation, organized an intensive training course in partnership with the Renewable Energy Center at the University of Science and Technology (UST).
Held on December 22, 2023, the course focused on "Solar Panel Manufacturing and its Challenges." It was presented by international expert Professor Marwan Dhomrin (Professor at Osaka University, Japan, and Chief Specialist at Toyo Aluminium).
The training was broadcast live from Japan to a main hall at UST in Sana'a, with direct links to engineers in Aden, Hadramout, and Taiz, attracting over 300 participants, including students and solar company engineers.
During the session, Professor Dhomrin praised Al-Raebi Company's pivotal role in the Yemeni market. He highlighted its contribution to spreading a culture of quality and efficiency and introducing modern systems, countering the challenges posed by low-quality panels previously imported.
Mr. Abdullah Al-Raebi, Director of Al-Raebi Co., and Prof. Abdulaziz Al-Dhobhani, Director of the UST Energy Center, stated this is the first in a series of courses. The partnership aims to enhance national capabilities and develop Yemen's renewable energy sector, with future sessions planned on lithium batteries and panel diagnostics.
